Teaching Retreat this weekend

Our Resident teacher, Khenpo Chujor, has offered to give us teachings with the help Tenzin, our translator. Khenpo has both both kind humor and wisdom and being with him is a special blessing!

The schedule is still being created but I wanted to make sure you had notice and also ask your help in inviting others to come and share.

The Teachings:

Tara is a female Buddha who protects us from the 8 fears.

The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva are ways we can use our everyday life experiences to help develop both wisdom and compassion, and be of service to others.

Saturday June 27
10-12am Green Tara
2-4pm Green Tara
7-9pm 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva

Sunday June 28
7-9am Meditation for Beginers
10-12am 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva
2-4pm 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva
7-9pm 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva

FREE ( or whatever you can donate*):
These teachings are being offered through the generosity of gifts as well as the kindness of our teacher. Please, take advantage of this chance to come and experience these teachings. We appreciate any donations, but mostly, we want to make these open to all.

* Giving to support the teachings helps earn merit , in the traditional Tibetan custom.

New teachings by Kempho Choeghar

Our teacher, Kempho Choeghar is back from New York, and we will be continuing with our usual Friday Night teachings tomorrow night, May 30th at 8:00pm. Our translator for this class and the summer will be Tenzin Thosam based on his availability. We will also be discussing the upcoming retreat regarding dates and times so try and attend if possible.

Khenpo Choejor Gaymtso starts a new teaching on Dzogchen. Teachings are Friday night, from 7:30pm to about 9:30pm.

New Teaching Starting …

Our resident teacher, Khenpo Choejor Gaymtso will resume his teaching series at Dorje Ling this coming Friday Night October 26th, from 7 PM to 9 PM.

In this Fall series Khenpo will teach from a text written by Khenpo Lodro Drakpo (one of Khenpo’s teachers teachers). The text is essentially a commentary on Dolpopa’s “Ocean of Definitive Meaning”. The first teaching in this series will be on the two truths.

Our translator will be Dr. Douglas Duckworth. Douglas has a PhD in Buddhist studies from the University of Virginia. He is also a Jonang practitioner and is currently a visiting Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
